‘The Stratford Upon Avon & Midland Junction Railway’ (or S.M.J.) was a small independent railway company which ran a line across the empty, untouched centre of England. It visited the counties of Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Oxfordshire and a little of Buckinghamshire, only existing as the SMJ from 1909 to 1923. In 1923 the S.M.J.became a minor arm of the London Midland and Scottish (L.M.S.), then in 1948 'British Railways'

"The station building has been renovated and rebuilt as a 2 bedroomed house, although the second bedroom is only 7'6" by 7' so really a boxroom, but it is not been priced up yet"

"A belated update: Binton goods shed was demolished some time in July or August and the rest of the site cleared of the remnants of the gas storage business, the station building remains."

Where is this Bridge

"Could be Broom, but the road bridge at the West end of the high street; the terrace of houses at the top right are a good match for those there today.  It's definitely not the SMJ bridge."
