‘The Stratford Upon Avon & Midland Junction Railway’ (or S.M.J.) was a small independent railway company which ran a line across the empty, untouched centre of England. It visited the counties of Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Oxfordshire and a little of Buckinghamshire, only existing as the SMJ from 1909 to 1923. In 1923 the S.M.J.became a minor arm of the London Midland and Scottish (L.M.S.), then in 1948 'British Railways'

Scam

Like others I have received the same scam message, my strong advice is delete it immediately and clear it from your 'recycled bin'. It will either directly contain a virus or a link that tries to get your money one way or another.Dave HaywardContinue

Add me to the list of recipients of this unusual email. This is the second message from him this year and the second time I've deleted it! An unknown, unsolicited message that, unless more information is forthcoming, I will continue to ignore them.Continue

Hello Peter, thank you for the welcome. I have had a lifelong interest in the SMJ; Started by my Grandfather (John McLeash) in the mid 60's, taking me to Blakesley, where he had lived as a boy and walking along the track, when it was still down, I have frequently visited this website for some time, and thought I should join to show support.

Michael. Thanks so much for joining the SMJ website. Tell me about those pic-nics. Do you know a Dick Bodily or a Lloyd Penfold? Go and have a look at the Blakesley page

I look forward to hearing from you

Andy
