Useful new information about an Easter Monday race special, I wonder what sort of loco was provided, presumably something short enough to be turned at Towcester or Blisworth. Excursions from Northampton would have comprised a Webb 2-4-2T sandwiched between 2 two coach push n pull units. For details about Easter Monday specials 'British Railways Journal' Number 76 Pages 11 - 13.
