‘The Stratford Upon Avon & Midland Junction Railway’ (or S.M.J.) was a small independent railway company which ran a line across the empty, untouched centre of England. It visited the counties of Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Oxfordshire and a little of Buckinghamshire, only existing as the SMJ from 1909 to 1923. In 1923 the S.M.J.became a minor arm of the London Midland and Scottish (L.M.S.), then in 1948 'British Railways'

The SMJ Remembered (Cont)
I've been through all the recently added pix and added to this album any pix of the SMJ as a working railway. There's also an older similar album simply entitled 'The SMJ Remembered'. I've done this so that people can see slideshows of the SMJ in working days. I shall also add pix to the individual stations albums ( eg, Kineton, Blakesley, etc.) and the Industrial Album when I get around to it for the same reason. I hope nobody minds me putting together these albums using their pix. If you do let me know!
