‘The Stratford Upon Avon & Midland Junction Railway’ (or S.M.J.) was a small independent railway company which ran a line across the empty, untouched centre of England. Thanks Dick. I get my loco allocation information from www.brdatabase.info which shows nothing for this loco before 21/12/63 which was the date it was allocated to Nottingham. Curiously, it was later re-allocated to Woodford Halse for 1 week in April 1964 before being transferred to Rose Grove where it was withdrawn in July 1975.
