‘The Stratford Upon Avon & Midland Junction Railway’ (or S.M.J.) was a small independent railway company which ran a line across the empty, untouched centre of England. It visited the counties of Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Oxfordshire and a little of Buckinghamshire, only existing as the SMJ from 1909 to 1923. I've finished setting up this page. It can be found by clicking on PAGES OF HISTORY at the top of the page. I've deleted the old page after tranferring relevant comments to this new page. I'd like to hear from anyone who can add further classes to it. I've heard rumours of Type 2 Sulzers working on the SMJ, can anyone confirm? There are now over 100, some of them slightly tenous, records listed!
Also Gary has updated his 'Surviving Locos' list as a result of new information. He has now found that an amazing 26 locomotives have been proven to have run on the SMJ, come to think of it 27 if he adds the King but I think he is more sensibly concentrating on pre-closure days!
