A Stratford Upon Avon and Midland Junction Railway bridge weight notice, cast iron, 16½"x11¾", the back repainted. These signs date from prior to the formation of the SMJR and were originally titled EAST AND WEST JUNCTION, STRATFORD UPON AVON, TOWCESTER AND MIDLAND JUNCTION RAILWAY. After the formation of the SMJR, and amalgamation of the E&W Company and the Northampton and Banbury Junction Railway, the wording was chiselled off the signs, leaving the new title. I managed to get this nice one last year
