Last week, as part of the research for my book, I had the enjoyable experience of an evening at the Warley Model Railway Club, looking at their 53-foot model of Broom Junction station. It really is an amazing creation. Have a look at their website, www.warley-mrc.org.uk. The S&MJR seems to attract model-makers. Harry Cowan at Stratford is creating a model of the Stratford SMJ station in an upstairs room of his house. Also, of course, a full-size replica of the main Broom station building has been built at the Midland Railway Centre at Butterley.
