‘The Stratford Upon Avon & Midland Junction Railway’ (or S.M.J.) was a small independent railway company which ran a line across the empty, untouched centre of England. It visited the counties of Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Oxfordshire and a little of Buckinghamshire, only existing as the SMJ from 1909 to 1923. In 1923 the S.M.J.became a minor arm of the London Midland and Scottish (L.M.S.), then in 1948 'British Railways'

Hello Tanya,

I'm pleased that you joined us...if you were to post the two photos, I am sure that some of our eagle eyed SMJ experts may be able to help!

If you like, I could do that for you...

Also, the SMJ site is part of the Steam Tube group of sites (www.steamtu.be) We would be delighted if you would accept this invitation to join our over 1504 members, and view the 7,000 videos and 31,000 photographs! As well as the numerous blogs..and our monthly magazine "On Shed".

Perhaps I may make the request that you may like to submit a article for us..there would naturally be links to your book etc......

Kind regards,
