‘The Stratford Upon Avon & Midland Junction Railway’ (or S.M.J.) was a small independent railway company which ran a line across the empty, untouched centre of England. It visited the counties of Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Oxfordshire and a little of Buckinghamshire, only existing as the SMJ from 1909 to 1923. In 1923 the S.M.J.became a minor arm of the London Midland and Scottish (L.M.S.), then in 1948 'British Railways'

Yes its the first bridge after Cockley Brake going towards Helmdon,the sign post is for Greatworth. The photo is dated mid sixty's

I think the road sign points to Helmdon. Is it on the N&BJ line just out of Cockley Brake Junction? Some of us walked from that bridge up to the junction a couple of years ago, the parapets have been completely removed. Good photo, I've never seen one of that bridge.

i hadnt thought about that fact Jim,its not the bridge at Eydon though. You can just see a road sign,so its on a T juction

I think there are only about 10 rail over bridges on the SMJ - but my first guess would be the bridge over the road to the north-east of Eydon.
