Unfortunately, when trying to set up a "line society", it rapidly transpired that whilst everyone contacted thought it was a good idea, and would have loved to receive am (irregular) newsletter, no one was actually prepared to write anything for it, so it never really got off the ground.
This site is effectively the SMJR Society, and being of free-format, works quite well as a medium for the exchange of information.
