Did this railway (as opposed to the East & West Junction Railway) go into receivership - if so, when. And when did it come out of receivership?Continue

Shall we bring this discussion under the proper heading! So far as the OS plan surveyed 1885, published 1886, is concerned: the OS liked - wherever they could - to have text running parallel to the top and bottom borders. When they came to add the…Continue

I run The West En pub in Old Town Stratford. I am currently pulling together a wide range of maps and photos about Old Town including the Stratford station and junction.
I would like to get copies of photos of these to display with other images around the pub.

Although I am a Stratfordian I have not lived there for some time. The only pubs I can remember in Old Town are The Talbot, The Mason's Arms and the Bull's Head. There is also the British Legion in Bull Street and some might have classed The Salmon Tail as Old Town which it is not! So please where are you? I will drop in when I am in town and I may be able to help with material or at least make suggestions as to where you might get some exhibits.
Regards
John
