‘The Stratford Upon Avon & Midland Junction Railway’ (or S.M.J.) was a small independent railway company which ran a line across the empty, untouched centre of England. It visited the counties of Northamptonshire, Warwickshire, Oxfordshire and a little of Buckinghamshire, only existing as the SMJ from 1909 to 1923. In 1923 the S.M.J.became a minor arm of the London Midland and Scottish (L.M.S.), then in 1948 'British Railways'

Large Scale Map of Blisworth Station
Map 4 of a sequence of maps beginning at

shows the fairly early arrangement for the SMJ line at Blisworth. As the scale, on a 17" monitor, is 275:1, you may find interest on all sections. I suspect that, as it appears to be a manager's map, that the features cover a range of dates from maybe 1880 onwards. Looking at the signal "trees" can anyone date those?
