Electric train staff equipment had been brought into use between Blisworth and Towcester by 9 August 1910 (date of SMJR minute 451 (TNA file RAIL 674/3)) and presumably the new signal box at Blisworth appeared at the same time. In that this was so…Continue

Shall we bring this discussion under the proper heading! So far as the OS plan surveyed 1885, published 1886, is concerned: the OS liked - wherever they could - to have text running parallel to the top and bottom borders. When they came to add the…Continue

Hi
I’m looking for a copy of the film
“The Stratford Upon Avon & Midland Junction Railway” edited by Hillside Publishing some time ago.
This company is now out of business and cannot be called upon to get a copy.
If possible, I would wish to transfer the data of the DVD in mp4 format via internet?
Thanks to the Brexit it has become extremely expensive to purchase anything from the UK and have it sent to Belgium.
For info after paying the goods from a UK supplier, including the local VAT in addition to the transport costs, I must pay 21% Belgian VAT on the goods and the transport; 7% import duties on the lot plus € 25 administrative costs...
I am ready to pay the reasonable expenses for a copy of the DVD
Best regards
Jack

Hi Jack
I have a spare unused copy of 'The Shakespeare Route - The SMJ' DVD, as I had to purchase three from the supplier 'Wolverton Rail' to make it worthwhile for them to record new set of copies. Apparently the original publishers (Hillside Publications) were based in Rugby, but stopped trading a long while ago when they relocated to the Isle of Man. As I understand it, Wolverton Rail had an agreement with them to make copies upon request. Try Wolverton first (https://www.wolvertonrail.com), but if you have no luck get back to me and we can talk about my spare copy.
Regards
Mark
I would be keen on getting hold of the DVD too.

Hi Mark
I’ve been in contact with Ian of Wolverton Rail but he cannot help.
Would you agree to sell me one of your copies of the DVD?
I propose you give me your price, including postage to Belgium, I’ll transfer you the amount by whatever means you chose or feel safe.
Best regards
Jack
